To my dearest family\n
Some things I\u2019d like to say,
\nbut first of all to let you know
\nthat I arrived okay\n
I\u2019m writing this from Heaven
\nwhere I dwell with God above
\nwhere there\u2019s no more tears
\nor sadness there
\nis just eternal love\n
Please do not be unhappy
\njust because I\u2019m out of sight
\nremember that I\u2019m with you
\nevery morning, noon and night\n
That day I had to leave you
\nwhen my life on Earth was through\n
God picked me up and hugged me
\nand He said I welcome you\n
It\u2019s good to have you back again
\nyou were missed while you were gone
\nas for your dearest family
\nthey\u2019ll be here later on\n
I need you here so badly
\nas part of My big plan
\nthere\u2019s so much that we have to do
\nto help our mortal man\n
Then God gave me a list of things
\nHe wished for me to do
\nand foremost on that list of mine
\nis to watch and care for you\n
And I will be beside you
\nevery day and week and year
\nand when you\u2019re sad\n
I\u2019m standing there
\nto wipe away the tear\n
And when you lie in bed at night
\nthe days chores put to flight\n
God and I are closest to you
\nin the middle of the night\n
When you think of my life on Earth
\nand all those loving years
\nbecause you\u2019re only human
\nthey are bound to bring you tears\n
But do not be afraid to cry
\nit does relieve the pain
\nremember there would be no flowers
\nunless there was some rain\n
I wish that I could tell you
\nof all that God has planned
\nbut if I were to tell you
\nyou wouldn\u2019t understand\n
But one thing is for certain
\nthough my life on Earth is o\u2019re\n
I am closer to you now
\nthan I ever was before\n
And to my very many friends
\ntrust God knows what is best\n
I\u2019m still not far away from you\n
I\u2019m just beyond the crest\n
There are rocky roads ahead of you
\nand many hills to climb
\nbut together we can do it
\ntaking one day at a time\n
It was always my philosophy
\nand I\u2019d like it for you too
\nthat as you give unto the World
\nso the World will give to you\n
If you can help somebody
\nwho is in sorrow or in pain
\nthen you can say to God at night
\nmy day was not in vain\n
And now I am contented
\nthat my life it was worthwhile
\nknowing as I passed along the way\n
I made somebody smile\n
So if you meet somebody
\nwho is down and feeling low
\njust lend a hand to pick him up
\nas on your way you go\n
When you are walking
\ndown the street
\nand you\u2019ve got me on your mind\n
I\u2019m walking in your footsteps
\nonly half a step behind\n
And when you feel the gentle breeze
\nor the wind upon your face
\nthat\u2019s me giving you a great big hug
\nor just a soft embrace\n
And when it\u2019s time for you to go
\nfrom that body to be free
\nremember you\u2019re not going
\nyou are coming here to me\n
And I will always love you
\nfrom that land way up above\n
